I don't really hut rubs . There usually so random all over the place. Deer walk everywhere. Yea there is main travel areas but they seem to walk all over sometimes adjacent to main trails and not on them.

Ones two dinks battling it out, one of many photos of those two that night.

The others are a potential shooter, id seriously consider it but next year he'll be a beast. No worries anyways as hes as nocturnal as can be... But he'll slip here in the late season as his guts going to over power his brain. I have until Jan 31st here in MD.

Going thru old pics when I first moved here.. These deer were poached.. DNR made a big bust, word is the "hunters" are back at it light and all. I voluntered my farm for the robo deer but they never called me back.. Oh well.. We also had EHD this summer so it'll be a while until I see good bone again.

We had some road hunters in my area about 3 to 5 years ago. They got a few decent ones in the area. I too volunteered my place for robot deer.

Saturday opens late Muzzie season.. One of them does is gonna bite the dust. The wide one still is 100% middle of the night.

Yes, thats a corn pile.. Im not ashamed.. Its legal and that field is barley which the deer 100% ignore around here. If it wasnt for the corn pile my field would be vacant.

Late season is when they are easy, slaves to their stomachs! Both of these I got last year, the 10pt Dec 19th and the big 8 on Jan 8th. We joke that for each animal you take to the taxi, is a year you wont get a biggun.. With 3 deer and two huge turkeys from last year Im doomed hahahahahaha...

Not around here!! If you don't get them by mid November it's usually over. I rarely see deer(big bucks) here in December, they seem to go nocturnal. Our season goes through Jan 1

The funny thing is, I hate hunting the rut... I killed a decent buck 4yrs ago during the rut, but thats it...

We have so many does, and I mean so many.. That day pic of the does I posted today, you can see 5, but I guarantee there was at least 8... Ive already killed 4 this year in that same spot. Ive killed 9 whitetail does already this year. That doesnt make for great rut hunts, they dont have to roam much at all to find a lady, just look around the next tree.

I like opening week, which is usually the 2nd friday in september. They are still going in the bean fields. Ive never gotten a good buck then but Ive been on them. That triple beam buck i had at 50-60yds twice this year that week.

Then its late season, only hunting evenings. Really you only need to hunt the last 1/2hr... But we habe until Jan 31st. From about now on, the cold has set in, we start getting snow... Acorns are gone, and they have to get up and eat, especially carbs to keep warm.

Giving a trail cam to my 8 yr. old grand son for Christmas. He seems to think he wants one. Also getting him an SD card. Should be interesting to see what he gets pictures of. We have a lot of wild animals around here. Our house is bordered by the power lines.
