I have given the sales guys at Kubota 3 chances. All 3 times I had cash in hand and willing to pay what they quoted for the implements. The first time they said they would call me to come pay/pickup the rear blade. A week goes by and no call. I dropped in and the guy said he would order it this time. Still haven’t heard back and it’s been a couple years. After a couple weeks I went with a different dealer. Same story a year later but with a box blade. I know these aren’t high dollar implements but both over $1000.

The service department guys there are excellent. I have received great service when just picking up oil that was on sale and they helped a lot with the shear bolts for my Bushhog. The service guys should try sales. I think they would knock it out of the park. They are willing to go the extra mile on a small purchase instilling confidence for a larger purchase.

Maybe my standards are too high but simply doing what you say you will do doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. I really want a Woods box blade and since they are the only ones in town that carry the line I will have to drive a ways to get one. The guys there are nice and seem to know what they are talking about but they have just wasted too much of my time to bother trying again.

Understood. Too bad when things like that happen.

I would imagine it would carry over to tractors also...I have seen a 'deleted' Kubota Engine in a Bobcat CTL. Big ol hole where all that crap used to sit. There were a few one off parts involved such as some home made block off plates, but overall did not seem super complicated.

I think if you want to run a grapple and pick up hardwood logs, you should be looking at Ls and not Bs. In JD probably a 3000 series. I had a 2305 JD subcompact for 10 years, only replaced the battery. Have a JD 3039 with DPF, no issues at 70 hours. I know most people here have Kubotas, but you should sit and operate both JD and Kubota before you buy. Make sure the dealer has some dirt or gravel you can mess with in the yard with the loader. Turn the wheel full lock on the tractors and see how tight they turn as you are worried about maneuvering. I think you will find little difference in turning between the B and L.

Ask Gasifier about them. Buckle up for that ride.

I don't know anyone who bought a Kubota and wished they had bought something else.

John Deere 3320 with FEL here, before that a JD 790 with FEL, no matter what brand, the FEL is a must. Lift capacity was not impressive on the 790 even when shimmed, but the 3320 is very easy to turn up & now my 3320 will lift a pallet of pellets (2000 lbs.) from the back of my pick-up provided I have my ballast block mounted. The green machines hold their value well around here, I actually made money when I sold the 790 & could do the same right now with the 3320. Really love the big operators platform on the 3320, the only thing I would do different today would be to go Cab version as opposed to Open Station (older I get the less I like big temperature swings).

The only thing that kept me from buying a Kubota was the treadle-style throttle pedal. I just could not get used to it. Admittedly, I would have been able to after some time at the controls, but it just did not feel right to me. I have a TYM T353 which is 5 years old and has just over 500 hours on it. Have had a few problems, mostly electrical and mostly minor and more or less annoying. Right now it's at a dealer getting full service and getting a few repairs. New fuel injection solenoid, hydraulic system valve and some wiring work. It's never really had a thorough service at a dealership, so I'm hoping that this will make it last. I'd like to get 2000 hours on it at least, and then trade it in for a new machine with a heated cab.

If I had to buy a new machine right now it would probably be a Kubota. I'd get used to the treadle system and rest assured that I could easily get parts and service for the machine for a long time.

My JD lawn tractor has the side-by-side hydro peddles and my Kubota tractor has the treadle. I don't have a preference, but my brain does get confused going between them.

I’m in the same boat mike and I get confused also. I though I wouldn’t like the treadle but decided I could get used to it and now I like it. It becomes second nature pretty quick.

Deere broke ranks with all the small JD (farm) dealers around here. Also there was one big dealer that sold Deere and Kubota. Deere bailed them out around 2006 or so when they were struggling but not for long. Right after I bought mine from them.
Deere has replaced all the local guys with a new impersonal dealer with a fancy indoor showroom that can now yield the numbers they like to see.
Usually if a manufacturer comes and removes equipment from the lot it's because the dealer has fallen behind. Usually.

There are no tractors under 100 HP made in the USA any more. Not even Deere.
Assembled in USA is not Made in USA.
Some may be partly or even mostly made in USA.
Some may make some lawn mowers and UTV here but those are not tractors.

Yep, noticed that as I was taking the picture, couldn't feel it from the seat, but it only had 20 psi of air at the time; all is back up now, I was moving some of my stash of pellets around that day, could have been bad to roll one off the rim!

Hammy .. Just my personal reminder to myself about safety.. 5 am dark, in a hurry to get the driveway done for the wife to go to work. Could have easily been deadly.. Tire bead was gone so I drove it up..
    3 step process;
    1 say prayer of thanks
    2 have a stiff drink
    3 get it fixed..
