…So I made meat instead. Rain forecast for the whole weekend and we just picked up a 1/2 a beef from the locker plus a case of ribs, a case of pork bellies, a case of pork butts, and a 1/2 case of pork loins. So the freezers needed going through. I ground 10 lbs of elk meat for jerky then made some beer brats with some peppers mixed in. Made those out of some deer and a little bit of wild hog that I found in the bottom of the freezer. Mixed with pork and it turned out really good. My best attempt yet at brats. 12 lbs finished product And then today made 24lbs of garlic pepper brats with a beer and some more chopped peppers added. My final results are getting better but I’m pretty slow. I gots 12 more pounds of elk to do something with. Probably gonna be snack sticks.
