Anybody missing winter, you come to Maine. You can have all the winter you want here. Just stay away from southern Maine. It has been so cold. My son plowed the snow so I can't get to the bird feeders. No way can I climb over snowbanks. I will say that the snow sled folks are having a fantastic time this year. No need to go up north to get into good snow. Last couple weeks have been too cold for most folks to go out for much of anything. Fishing in the ice shacks is popular now.

Love me some Yuma. Spent some time in Parker AZ in the winter . Absolutely loved it. We would goto Los Algodones on day trips while in Parker and haggle with the street vendors . Visited the date farms for ice cream on the way back. I'd take AZ over FL in the winter anytime!

Winters shorter? It started a bit early this year and this is just a January thaw; too early to predict a short winter. However, early Easter, early Spring sometimes holds true...but it is also on April Fools Day this year...

My sister liked to stay by Parker but it gets too cold there for me. Los Algodones is a great place to spend a few hours especially if you like to haggle the street vendors. My wife loved to do that and would haggle them a lot longer than I would. Also a great place to save a bunch of dollars on some medicine, eyeglasses or even some dentist work.

Where we used to stay was about 10 miles from Algodones. btw, algodon means cotton.

This weather has really done on a number on our home this winter. my attic frosted over BAD with the negative highs we had. Warmed up really fast and all the frost in the attic melted, resulting in water stains ALL OVER the upper level ceilings. Went up in the attic this morning, it was so wet up there, it looked like someone sprayed it with a firehose....fans running and dehumidifier up there on high. We know we need to "air-seal" up there, and maybe strip and replace all the insulation :hair::hair:

Sound like you could use some vents to the outside, too.
