    tis the time of year to sit inside by the warm fire and dream of the warm spring to come.

    I'm heading to Portland tomorrow and I think the highest temp is going to be 34ish with single digits overnight - should give me plenty of ammo for the questions from family about "when are you going to move back up here?"

    Except for maybe some snow late Sunday it's supposed to be a nice weekend for cutting. I'd like this red maple to be ready for next Winter so I have something to burn besides primo red oak every day.

    13.8ºF That's pretty cold for here. 14ºF was forecast.
    72ºF in the room above the stove.
