One of the most common questions we see:

"Will this stove heat my house?"

The honest answer (and IMHO, the ONLY answer!)......"I don't know..."

WAAAAY too many variables none of us as techs or salespeople can answer (feel free to add your own):
    1. How well does air move throughout the home? (not really quantifiable)
    2. How warm is warm "to you"?
    3. How well does your home hold heat? (How leaky are your windows, doors, do your kids leave doors ajar, etc?)
    4. What type of pellet will you be using?

I guess what I am trying to say here would be.....Beware of anyone telling you this stove will definitely heat your home.....even knowing the btu/hr rating wont answer that, nor will the manufacturer's GUESS as to what square footage the unit will heat.

Nope, Harman's are really dreadful stoves and we hate them. We just want everyone else to be as miserable as we are so we tell all lies :D

when that old pipe leaks after your install, snag up some Excell ICC pipe.....they even have a nifty adapter that will bolt right to the back of the Allure, ensuring a stable, non-leaky fit.

In thinking about the title of this thread, I say it’s interesting that tomorrow is some kind strange thing... always ahead, but never present. I hope the actual install goes smoothly

All joints are sealed and will be resealed and hasn't leaked since 05. I did just replace the T though which corroded from the corn burning days. Not to mention other then about 6" that will be visible behind the stove and what passes through the wall the rest of the pipe is outside so as long as it don't leak water it really don't matter if it leaks a bit but even the outside joints will be sealed.

yea, I guess I just question the logic of using old pipe on a new installation, given the price of the new unit....nominal. We have had quite a lot of issues using old pipe on new intalls, so much that we wont re-use old pipe if we install. Callbacks cost us time and money........

Makes perfect sense for a paid installer to not use old piping. For a DIY- meh- its on them so why not if it seems OK.

Hey, I re used my old dryer plug. The delivery person couldn't hook it up without using a new plug so I sent him on his way. We all know that the power cord deteriorates over time.........

Stove pipe, yes, power cord no

Understandable Lousy. I do have a new appliance adapter that I picked up back when I got the Ravelli but never used it so I will use it on the Harman and the only other inside connection is from the adapter out.

I got a big roll of aluminum tape so no big deal just wrapping the outside joints, but yeah I won't waste silicone on the outside.
