Gased up the splitter around 645 this am and attacked a row of silver maple I had. After yesterday I've decided to catch up on splitting for a while so here it is split IMG_2456.JPG Then stacked

All done before 9 and what a great sunrise today (forgot a picture) not a cloud in the sky and we are creeping on 50F at the moment

    Double row of rounds IMG_2464.JPG
Doesn't take into account the 1/2 cord of rounds in a pile or the 3 cords in poles yet to cut

    It's old line hardware....
The two bottom timbers are old 8' cross arms (makes it easy for cord length) tied together at 18" wide with a couple 2x4 pieces. The one end towards the wall is 2x material uprights with plywood or 2x braces nailed in then the visible end is 2x material uprights that I drilled and pinned to the bottom timbers with carriage bolts and the metal braces are old cross arm braces that are bolted into the bottom timber and I used a piece of 1/2" threaded rod fence stapled across the uprights that the steel braces nut on to so they can be removed. I decided to go removable ends otherwise I would be doing a lot of stacking and re stacking this way just pop the end off and take or stack from the end. The only thing I purchased was the threaded rod the other stuff was all going in the dumpster so it's even better! IMG_0796.JPG
