Haha didn't mean anything By the jealous part........... Just gets old only bein able to get back in there for short periods of time. We have tried multiple ways to get in in the winter and none of them worked out well. Could probably build a road but we would have to do it on three different ridges and have large gravel base so we just deal with it.

I know what you mean about having to pick your times and, it never seems to jive with the time we've got. Our cabin work, getting together with our 2 sons, in OK weather, is like that.

How far in to your woodlot do you have to go? And, wow, building roads just has a real 'spensive sound to it…
You can prolly tell I like the track set up on an ATV to do "go slow, pull hard" type work. If your lot was within a few miles of a road, in almost any terrain with snow or mud… a tracked ATV might work for you. There are vids on YouTube showing guys pulling incredible log loads on snow and mud. Some of their trailers have mini grapple loaders too. Our cabin is 6/10 of a mile in on an old logging road. It's a snowsled trail in winter… so getting there is half the fun. And, we can go in during the real soft ground times in spring, when you go out of sight with a truck.

BTW… you had a little excitement yesterday. As I get older and slower, stories like yours remind me that sometimes the dam tree just wants me… bad…
    Glad you're fine.
