I can roll it around by hand it's very well balanced. As for weight it's got a crap load of leafs and it has almost full travel when empty. The trailer pulls great and straight. It also has 10 ply new tires which is really nice! They don't even squish down. I purchased it from a friend so I have filled it before too. You can go right up to the rails and it will barely drop 1/4" at most.
But what is the axle rated for? Just cause the tired can handle it and someone may have put super leaves on it dont make the axle tube stronger?. Just curious as the trailer I bet weighs at least 700-800 which would leave you with only about 2700# for wood. With those leaves its probably a 5k axle though.
It's rated 5000. Believe me it can haul I know who I bought from and how it was used and have helped load it a few times. I hauled that load an hour and it pulls great. I love that trailer! My next task is to weld a drop ramp / gate for it. I'm looking forward to that project. Are you still running the ranger?
Yes but sadly I am at a crossroads. I needs to sell something. It may be the ranger. Or it my be the wifes old 01 highlander. Its not the money for either vehicle I want its to get rid of insurance pay ments
