    I LBT mine with the ash trap doors off, and the main door open. The suction is more than ample to clear out the ash. I still never get a whole lot of ash out. I think my routine cleaning the stove with the combustion blower running gets most of the ash out of the stove.

    For $1000 I'd be all over that stove!

    Ditto on greasing the upper auger bearing. Mine was on the verge of seizing when I replaced the auger motor. The

    Versa Grate bushings (2) need lube also, which reduces the strain on that gearbox for longer life.

    Maybe because you have everything open. Can't develop any real vacuum that way. You want to get the air flow from the intake through the exhaust, not from the room. Disconnect the pressure switch, and just crack the door......see what you get then.

    I don't get a whole lot of ash out because there isn't much in there. I get plenty of airflow. Vacuum, as you say, is not the key - airflow is, which is why I have the door open and the small doors off. I've checked out the passages with a mirror, and they are quite clear.

    In this situation, more vacuum = more airflow
