It was. That's the same reason I got when I was banned. I haven't posted since they lifted the ban. If I could delete more content easily I would.

You Could Screen Shot them. Or click edit, then copy your content to a clip board.... doesn't get the uploaded photos that way though...

Steven deleted almost everything he ever posted on there. I cant imagine how long that would take though

 

It would take a while. I have 18 k posts.

 

Step one for you guys that want to delete your content is to quit talking about it before darin or someone gets wind of it and realizes just how damaging that would be to their search rankings and ad money. They realize just how much it would hurt them and they may permanently ban you to keep the content. step 2. Start with the newest/most valuable content and delete a little bit at a time while hoping nobody notices.

 

True. I probably won't do it any way. Too much work

 

I don't agree with deleting them as the content can't be replaced. And the only people that are getting hurt is the ones that truly want to learn. Let them read. And they will figure out where the guys went that they wish to learn more from. But than again that's my opinion. And I'm usually wrong. Lol.

 

I'd also be careful about deleting because of the terms of use. Once you post over there I believe they own the content. You COULD be sued over lost traffic and advertising. It's one thing to delete because of a mistake but deleting to be intentionally spiteful could get you into a world of hurt.

 

Kinda tewpid on AS Mods part if ya ask me. If theres a problem ,,, get rid of the problem,,,,, not a "could potentially be a problem becuz he modz saws" ,,, problem.
That said,,, I have just a handful of posts "over there",,,, haven't even glanced "over there" in years ,,,, and don't miss "over there".
When I was "over there",,, it seemed like a handful of firewood bullies and west coast wanna be hotshots ran many of the threads like a school house playground.
Havent been to the "darth side" either in quite awhile. Miss a few over there but not the mentality.

I'm sorry if I started a havoc. I really wasn't complaining. Just deciding weather or not to be offended. They can run there site however they please. I myself am going to were the info I can provide is appriciated. A lot of you guys don't realize several of us builders are good friends. And while I'm probably in the category of least helpful I'm always willing to share what I know. Chainsaws are my fun zone. I don't do this for a living I do it cause I love to make these simple little contraptions live to there potential. And that's why these forums were made. For people to share there knowledge,help amd friendship.Because I can tell you while they are one of the simplest engines still made today they can still be the most frustratin. Live and learn my friends because there is always someone out there that can teach you something. You just haft to be willing to listen and know your way may not always be the best way.

Someone posted above about how they just did away with everyone instead of whatever the problem was. Let me say that I HATE when that angle is taken when it pertains to, well....anything. It happens so often nowadays. I see it all the time at my job,.I've seen it at my shooting club, and just about any hobby or group I've been involved with.

It drives me crazy when the majority suffers due to the minority. I can't even have fathom how many fun or cool things have been ruined in life because of a few people. Nobody wants to sack up and deal with the problem directly. Just take the easy way out and ruin things for everyone. Or make my job harder on a daily basis because of some one in a million freak accident. Such BS
