I lift them by hand into the back of my truck and then unload them by hand and stack them by hand. I am 66 and this is why I had mentioned I was pretty lucky to not have any back problems. One of these days though I will have to change that tactic and find another way. But for now I am still going strong.
Yep, saw that the first night... Still is pretty funny..... Hmmmmm....keeping the trend going? Next there'll be "autocorrects" about feed logs, feed dogs, feed frogs, and of course, fed thon......
Nice looking logs Mag Craft, Its great to see your back holding out! Mine isnt the greatest but we find a way to get what we need. Id much rather have a strong back though. Do you think your done now or will head back up for another round? The scenery is pretty eh?
I will go back up for 3 more truck loads. I was going to go this week but it looked like rain every day so I am going next week instead. I think I will end up with close to 3 1/2 cords or more of pine when done. It is a favorite wood around here for those who have wood stoves. There is an older couple about 2 miles from me and I may give them a cord of pine this year. I love cutting up in the mountains.
Nice! I look forward to the pics. Good to see you are able to help out with the older couple, I bet they will receive it like its gold! You and I are fortunate that we get to harvest one of the higher btu pines available. Safe cutting friend!
Well got another load of Pine. The size of these logs are at my limit as to what I can handle, but it was a good load for the day. Just one more trip up to the mountains and I will be done for this year. This is a pic of some of the stacks. I will not burn these stacks for another 2 years.
Mag Craft we can easily see where you got the logs. You cut down all the trees! What will you do next year?
