    The forestry mulching started today.

The main focus of the mulching will be directly behind the house, this area is 1-2 acres. I've hired them for 5 days, they said this will take a day or two, whatever time is left after this area they will hit the trails that the harvesters made just knocking down as much debris as possible.

Incredible amount of work hapnin in hours... not months. Wow. Looks great! Curious as to what you plan to do with all of the mulch left. Leave it, or clear it? And, maybe they will clear it?

    A little post mulching video

As I explained in the video, when I hired this mulching contractor, he took the job site unseen, and we had not talked about an excavator, so when he showed up with it I was excited as it makes the job go a lot smoother.

    That looks very nice, Dave.

I'll definitely let you know when I'm back up that way.

They sure did a nice job near the house.

Do you think you'll have them come back later for the woods roads?

    Please do!

Definitely will have them back for more woods mulching. They do a good job and I'm pleased with the amount of work they did but it's not cheap $2000/day. Better access to the woods was one of the goals of the harvest. We spent all of the proceeds of the harvest on the mulching.
