Some of the posts lead me to believe this thread is not going to be long lived.. I'm not trying to throw another log on the fire.. But.. With yet another shooting incident riling up the political atmosphere, I've not looked it up, but I'd be interested to know the numbers of OD death's per year vs murders via guns. Now, the main numbers of gun violence are generally gang violence, ONLY the mass shootings make the headlines. I'd think more people die from drug use than gun related violence.. but it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. That said.. Maybe I need a new sign below this one.. That says.. "Narcan not available upon request."
May as well open up this can of worms at the same time. Every day, 28-29 people die in drunk driving crashes. Using the same logic (?) we're going to have to ban alcohol again or make cars illegal. I guess it'll be cars since over 100 people die daily from car crashes. The country tried the alcohol ban a few decades back and that only served to invigorate the economy. Hey, wait a minute......hmm.
