    Update on Mama... getting close to surgery, going to start at top of her leg and work down, check and repair.

    Prayers sent to Jeff's mama and WW's father.

    That had to really be scary when she fell and could not get up, especially at her age. It is a terrible thing when one is down and can't get up. Sadly I've experienced this several times (mostly because of my two store-bought hip joints). I can only imagine what a 93 year old would feel like in that situation. Then to find the leg is broken.

    Thanks. When she called me, I was still at work, finally got our preacher to go check on her and get her in a chair. She came through surgery fine, just talked to her on the phone. Don't know how long she will be in hospital and then rehab. Thank y'all for the prayers.

    Thank you, he's in a very good hospital now, I feel assured he is not in pain and his wife is there to ensure.
    Thank you, HE is in control, hoping for a peaceful death be it sooner or later. Peace and Comfort. Just so hard to see this incredible man this way, but his body is worn out. I feel so much for his wife too, so much to consider. Praying for her too. I hoped he would go home on hospice but not sure that's an option now.

    Thanks. We visited mama yesterday, she was pretty depressed when we first got there and disoriented. We will check on her again this evening

    Sorry about mama. Older folks lose their frame of reference in facilities. Everything is unfamiliar. Hard to feel confident in those places.

    Sad for sure. It is tough to watch a good person's health failing and the body gets worn out. It also can be extremely tough for the spouse. I've tried to imagine a couple times what life would be like without my Judy and that seems like it could be pure Hell.

    Payers for family of man named James, in my county. A couple hours ago he was killed by a falling branch as he was cutting a tree at his home.
    We all must appreciate how hazardous our pass time can be.
