    Nuts. I guess that is one of the worst things about surgery is infection. This one proves it for sure.

    I'll write more about surgery and infection in a few more days as I too will need lots of prayer.

    Thanks my friends...this world needs JESUS...I'm not preaching, just facts. Had a lady, 42 yrs old, drove to the city square in Sandersville, parked her car and shot herself yesterday, she was a nurse, her dad lives about 2 miles from us....we never know what pain someone is hiding, but JESUS does...

    My friend Vickie is suffering and could use our prayers. Diffuse Systemic Scleroderma is taking a terrible toll on her as well as her now 3 y 11 month years new to her lungs. Thank you Hoarders

    I guess the time has come. Before I get into this, realize I have only one good eye. It also has a cataract. Most will say, no problem. Easy surgery and I agree. However, when you look at the whole picture it is not so rosy.

    The doctor was in agreement with me a long time ago when he said because I have only one eye I should wait until the last moment. The reason? He says that about once in every 10,000 surgeries someone will get infection in the eye. If that happens, you lose your sight.

    Well, if you have two good eyes it is tolerable but if only one good eye it could be a major disaster. So, now I'm at a point where I'm almost ready to lose my driver license because my sight is getting so bad. It also causes other problems. I've even dug out some old prescription glasses in order to keep doing things and it has helped but is a big strain on the eye. I already fight bad headaches and this is making it worse. Spent a terrible night last night and go hardly any sleep.

    So a week from today I am having eye surgery. I need prayer for sure as I really do not want to lose any sight that I have. So I am asking you good folks to go along with me and sending prayers up to the Lord that this surgery is a success. Yes, I'm scared.

    Backwoods Savage .. It is OK to be afraid!! It will be fantastic when its over to remember the fear and be extra thankful that the prayers worked; vision is better and enjoyment of life has increased!

    I refuse to believe any different.

    Thank you Zap. Opposite, Scleroderma is the cause of her needing the transplants, it ruined her lungs. Scleroderma hardens organs (heart, lungs, kidneys, ect. The largest and most visible organ in human body is our skin-epidermis (derma), hardens that too) though hardened skin is not what kills people, its the internal organs that get hardened.
