Will do, she's leaving now. Close to 4" now, it was the ice underneath the snow that created problems.

same here.. because only predicted an inch they treated main highway which melted and froze to solid ice.. with 6 inches on top secondary roads are much better!

Grandma (in-law) doctors are guessing at 3 months for her. WWW and I were discussing a plane flight for him tonight (one visit, not two). I was leaning towards sooner (hopefully able to afford lil one going with him) for wonderful last visit. We are torn, it is very important for him to be there for his mother at the funeral. How do we decide? What are we not considering to help do whats best for all them (him too)? Thanks for any input and let me know if I should move this post to another forum.

God Bless Grandma Jeanne, she passed this morning. I am proud that WWW has been honored with spreading her ashes on a beautiful pass up here in Wyoming, a final trip for Dear Jeanne (1926).

Any advice on what to say to WWW's mother (grandma Jeannes daughter)? He said she was still overwhelmed and sleep deprived and not to call for a few days so I was thinking and email. Then I thought that was insensitive. Either in typed words or voice over phone I don't know what to say. I am leaning towards comfort for her loss. But she has also expressed about dealing with the dilapidated house (Backwoods Savage might remember) as well as her own health issues and work & all kinds of things. I guess I am looking for words of comfort and to offer her, and to help where I can from Wyoming (she is in Cal). Thanks wonderful FHC family for any ideas.

To me the biggest thing now is to know and understand her loss and feel her grief. Let her grieve for a time before the other issues come up and then you can overcome them. What words? That is always a tough one even for ministers. I think one of the best things is if you can get them to talking so sometimes asking questions is the best thing you can do. Find out some of her past and hopefully get her to talking about it. It really can help get over the grief.

Sorry I'm not much help and for sure every person is different but we all go through some of the same types of things that others do. Just being there sometimes is all it takes.

    This ^^^
Tell her you're there when she needs. If she needs her space, then that's fine also.
And make sure to tell her that you're praying, and that God is ready to pick her up when she's ready.

    We are praying for her
