Please keep a great friend and his wife in your thoughts today. She is about 57-58 yrs old and is having breast cancer surgery today. May JESUS the GREAT PHYSICIAN touch her today.
Funeral over. One of good friends, Pastor Doug Strait did the service. Someone mentioned as usually happens that these things happen in threes. Well, my wife, My sister and my sister's SIL, so I guess they can say it is so.
Many of the readers here will remember a post about a good friend of ours who got covid and was hospitalized back in April. I am happy to report that last night I actually got to talk to her last night on the phone. She didn't recognize my voice right away but when she realized who she was talking to she perked right up! It was great hearing her voice again. She has a long way to go yet but was finally moved into the rehab wing. Trach removed so now can talk and even feeding tube removed so now can eat. Still having to take dialysis but overall much improved. Hoping she can go home in a few more weeks. Thanks to everyone for the prayers.
What a joy yesterday when I got to see my old friend again. Many remember when I posted that she got covid back in April and had all sorts of complications. But now she is in rehab and improving greatly. So much so she is now scheduled to be released in 2 weeks. She is really looking forward to being home again too. She has 2 daughters who have spent many hours going back and forth most days to be with their mom and trying to help. And it is a 100 mile round trip for them going to see her plus because of work schedule they each drive separately. They too will be happy when mom gets home. Sadly she will have to continue dialysis 3 days per week but still have hopes that may improve. Thank you to everyone's prayers. Here is another case where prayers worked and is working.
Praying God meets the needs of the requests on this forum. Give praise and thanks for prayers answered.
There were many asking about NortheastAl some time ago so thought I would mention he is doing much better now. He also states he will be back on the forum soon. He has had a very rough time of it this summer and I am so happy things are turning around for him now.
Sadly young Dakota passed away last night. He was only 13. Please say a prayer for him and his family.
