    I still don't know much but did talk to his mother this morning. Naturally she is a bit torn up over this. Sounds like he could be in ICU for quite some time. Even after surgery he was fighting because he could barely breath. The good news is they did not find a hole at the bottom of the lung as all the damage was at the top but they don't know why or at least have not told why yet.

    Prayers for families and for wounded. Many have probably heard about the terrible accident (maybe not an accident?) last night by Kalamazoo, MI. 5 people were killed and 4 are in bad condition in hospitals. They were on one of their weekly bicycle rides when some a-hole hit them; all of them. Not much to say right now but this hurts to even think about it.

    Any man with any concern about being dizzy or falling can cut the top off a gallon milk jug, leave the handle on it and use it while sitting on the bed's edge. Much cheaper than fixing a broken hip or a head injury from trying to get to the toilet . I say a gallon jug because they don't tip over easily. The majority of falls are related from folks going to the bathroom. Another thing, use the jug and have much less broken sleep. :Yar:

    We didn't hear of that one! My gosh... We heard of a terrible car accident on our way home that shut down parts of Lansing. That ended badly for a few as well.

    Finally some good news. Tonight our neighbor got home from the hospital. Great! No, he is not in good shape but thanking the Lord that he is even alive. Found out more information and it was a worse battle than I had imagined. He won't be doing anything for several weeks. I'll check in on him daily.

    Was surprised at him too. On his way home, he stopped in here first. Said he had to get a hug from my wife. Tis okay. I'm fine with that. I had been at a neighbor's pond getting water for the back garden and when I came home, he and his wife were here. He told us some stories that rally made us quiver! But he is really thankful for sure.

    All, Today I bring sad news of a new Recruit to the US Coast Guard who was doing the PT qualification run, he collapsed on has now passed away. I can't give out more details but he was a 21 year old man from Virginia. If you want to read more you can Google USCG recruit passes away in Cape May. I'd like to ask for prayers for our newest Coast Guardsman who has crossed the bar and for his family! :( Blessed is he is an organ donor and will be able to help "MANY" young folks in his passing.
    The cause is still undetermined, It has been speculated he may have had an underlying condition that was not seen by the process physical. Please pray for him and his family! I'll pass more when I can.

    For some that think the US Coast Guard isn't a military service, "some don't" It is only second in toughness to the US Marine corps! Here is a clip of what you have to be prepared for..
