    My Dad's wife could use prayers. She just put their dog down, of course like most of us here the dog was their constant loving companion. Now she walks into an empty home, Dad is gone and now their dog. RIP doggie, I know Dad was there on your arrival.

    Got a terrible phone call tonight. My brother, only 59 and a workhorse had a stroke. Worked through the heat yesterday, and despite his friends saying he should go be checked out, after having some difficulties, he ignored it until this evening. Scan showed he had one in the past.

    mental ability are there and speech is slurred. Going to be a long road. He has a good woman and friends arguing over who he will stay with during his recovery.

    Always refuses to see a doctor and rare that he needs one. Of course no insurance, but a nest egg that will take a hit.

    Prayers for a good prognosis tomorrow and a recovery that will ensure he can return to work.
