There is a world of difference between a good sound investment and an investment that sounds good.

To the average driver it seems that in any spot that would be fine for parking, there’s a fine for parking.

The ideal vacation cottage is one that visits twelve and sleeps two.

Some people should be in the Olympics, the way they jump to conclusions.

They really don’t fix the roads, they just move the holes so the motorists can’t remember them.

An easy way to destroy an enemy is to make friends of them. But, making war is easier than making friends.

    Verse of the Day
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Love doesn’t make the world go around, but it sure does make the ride worthwhile.

Justice, not the majority should rule.

A part of kindness consists of loving people more than they deserve.

The difference between a taxidermist and a tax collector is that a taxidermist leaves you with the hide.

Truth never damages a cause that is just.

As a general rule, the freedom of any people can be judged by the volume of their laughter.

Even if you do learn to speak correct English, who are you going to speak it to?

Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection; to see it in action, just look around you in the spring.

Also, I have proof that the Lord was thinking of me when He created the world. Otherwise, we would not have popcorn!

    By Rev Billy Graham...

    God Made You
It is an exhilarating experience to live the new life, with Christ inside me enabling me to live it. As a man was riding along in his Ford, suddenly something went wrong. He got out and looked at the engine, but he could find nothing wrong. As he stood there, another car came in sight, and he waved it down to ask for help. Out of a brand-new Lincoln stepped a tall, friendly man who asked, “Well, what’s the trouble?”
“I cannot get this Ford to move,” was the reply. The stranger made a few adjustments under the hood and then said, “Now start the car.” When the motor started, its grateful owner introduced himself and then asked, “What is your name, sir?”
“My name,” answered the stranger, “is Henry Ford.”

The one who made the Ford knew how to make it run. God made you and me, and He alone knows how to run your life and mine. We could make a complete wreck of our lives without Christ. When He is at the controls, all goes well. Without Him, we can do nothing.

    Daily Prayer
Lord, so often I forget to give You complete control and I fail. Teach me to rely completely on You for my strength and needs.

Wouldn’t this world be better, if the folks we meet would say,
“I know something good about you!” and then treat us just that way?
    Wouldn’t it be fine and dandy if each handclasp warm and true;
Carried with it this assurance, “I know something good about you!”

    Wouldn’t life be lots more happy, if the good that’s in us all;
Were the only thing about us, that folks bothered to recall?
Wouldn’t life be more happy, if we praised the good we see?
For there’s such a lot of goodness, in the worst of you and me.

And wouldn’t it be nice to practice, that fine way of thinking too,
You know something good about me; and I know something good about you!

One of the best and easiest way of saving face is to keep the lower half shut.

Sometimes, going to a lawyer is like losing a cow for the sake of a cat.

Reality has no obligation to be interesting.

Attempting to control one’s own conduct leaves little time for policing the morals of others.

There is a big difference between happiness and wisdom; he who thinks himself the happiest man on earth really is so; but he who thinks himself the wisest is generally the greatest fool.

Don’t mistake your imagination for your memory.

I have seen a lot of compassion in this group of fine folks. I thank GOD for you.

    By Rev Billy Graham...

    Compassion for Others
If you would know the measure of your love for God, just observe your love for your fellowman. Our compassion for others is an accurate gauge of our devotion to God.

Some time ago, with some friends, I went through a museum in San Francisco. Among other things, we saw a collection of instruments of torture which were employed by religious people to force other people to believe as they did. History is largely the record of man’s inhumanity to man.

    Daily Prayer
Lord God, fill my heart that I may love with the compassion of Jesus.
