    101% Now, take a look at this..

    From a strictly mathematical viewpoint: What Equals 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%?

    Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been in situations where someone wants you to GIVE OVER 100%. How about ACHIEVING 101%? What equals 100%?
    Here's a little mathematical formula that might help answer these questions:

    If:
    A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z
    Is represented as:
    1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26.
    If:
    H-A-R-D-W-O-R- K
    8+1+18+4+23+15+18+11 = 98%
    And:
    K-N-O-W-L-E-D-G-E
    11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96%
    But:
    A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E
    1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5 = 100%
    THEN, look how far the love of God will take you:
    L-O-V-E-O-F-G-O-D
    12+15+22+5+15+6+7+15+4 = 101%


    Therefore, one can conclude with mathematical certainty that:
    While Hard Work and Knowledge will get you close, and Attitude will get you there, it's the Love of God that will put you over the top!

    Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement. The first patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day and has a time booked for surgery the following week.

    The second patient sees his family doctor after waiting a week for an appointment, then waits six weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another month and finally has his surgery scheduled for three months from then. Why the different treatment for the two patients? The first is a golden retriever. The second is a senior citizen.

    The first step to better times is to imagine them.


    There is a price you pay for the price you pay.


    Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

    Charles J. Sykes, author of the book, Dumbing Down Our Kids: Why American Children Feel Good About Themselves but Can’t Read, Write or Add gave these rules of life. He talks about how feel-good, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.


    Rule 1: Life is not fair - get used to it!

    Rule 2 : The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

    Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

    Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

    Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity.

    Rule 6: If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about your mistakes, learn from them.

    Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try delousing the closet in your own room.

    Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

    Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time.

    Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

    Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.
