I have always owned a pickup and always had them to work not to haul soccer kids around like most today. Last half ton I had was in 1995 and damm near broke that in half. Let’s try a pickup ev and compare it to what a pickup was meant to be. Not some pansy’s dream of hauling a few groceries and a couple 6 year olds!

I was thinking the same thing last night as storms rolled through! After all, isn't that what we were taught back in the day that Ben Franklin did???

They'll come in handy for those that make the manly run to The Big Box store for a bundle or two of artisanal firewood though. For whom the wife's (or other person) minivan or miniSUV just won't do.

BTW.. I feel like I owe an apology to Wishlist
    :emb:

I wasn't really directing my rant at you personally. But it would certainly read that way. For that I do apologize.

That said, the rest still applies as typed.

I’m a little behind the times I guess! I remember when real men didn’t need pocketbooks or Fanny packs.

Is the moral to that story possibly don’t depend upon others and use your own resources? I think thats a good moral to have!!!!!!!

Yeah that's the thing, EPA originally kinda arose to clean up the water...which tends to affect things more locally...but the air not so much...most of us tend to be breathing the air from our neighbors to the west (yes I know I'm generalizing, don't beat me up with exceptions)

Not only coal, but lignite coal, the lowest grade of coal. The least amount of energy output and what some would call the most polluting.
