Pretty hard to put a price on "free" wood. How could you possibly buy back free wood???
If she is entitled to half the wood, let her take it.

I’ll help ya pizz her off. Her 1/2 is $250.00 correct.
Give her the money and let me know when you divorce is all spelled out and she cant change it.
I will get you a receipt for selling your 1/2 for say five times that. And we can specify i am buying your 1/2 of the wood from your divorce settlement. I just will never show up to get it. The receipt for pending sale should pizz her off. Then the sale can fall apart after the divorce is final.

Frank and Beans this whole thing pains me to hear it. This last move really shows the colors and they aren't pretty. Furthermore, I can hardly believe the courts in what they do in these cases. You know we wish you well in this and in everything else. If we can help, all you have to do is ask!

Hey, I may give you a call soon.

Sorry you are in this situation Frank. It never ceases to amaze me how much money can bring out the worst in people. She doesn't care a lick about the wood, she's just trying to mess with you. Hope things don't get too ugly. Best of luck!

Definitely a sad deal. I too have been there luckily I kept my ducks in a row sensing something like this may happen. I was able to send the sorry sack packing before she got too deep into my pockets.
To me 250 is worth it to move on but if she is pulling a stunt like that I’m sure there is more around the corner.
Sounds like you have a good attitude keep your head up.

If she had the wood appraised it's to cash out.
$250 for half of that shed of wood is probably a bargain.

I'm just hoping you have the means to keep the place . (if that's what you want) A lot of people would have to cash out and walk away.

It is truly amazing to me how time can change one’s perspective. When she left, I truly wanted to die. But the things she has done since then, have showed me her true colors. I am happier now than I have been in a long time. Life is good and I look forward to every day.
I’m gonna keep the house and property. I have enough in my retirement to buy her out. I will have to work OT for the rest of my career, but that is okay. I have a good job, and good friends, and am excited about my future! Life is good!!!

That is not only not right, that is downright mean. I am guessing you are in a community property state so that any property acquired during the marriage is divided even if you acquired it without anything from your spouse. There is a term for what is happening to you; it is called divorced rape.

This makes me angry; there you are busting your arse to provide for her and your family and she decides to do this.

I suggest you get your own appraisal to use in court. I would bet that her appraisal is high.

Uh, is your wife one of these new feminist? I use to consider myself one under the old rules; now if you were to call me a feminist I would have to fight you.

I am glad to hear this. Being happy without her is the best revenge. You need to sing and whistle while you are around her LOL. See if you can find a friend that is younger and prettier than she is willing to go along for some mischief and introduce her as your new girlfriend; that will burn her up. LOL.

I won’t waste my energy on trying to get revenge or make her feel bad, I hope she finds whatever it is she’s looking for. I need all the energy I have to live the life I am living. I have made a lot of new friends, and am having a lot of fun!

She doesn’t want the wood, she just wants money. The appraisal she got for the tractor was actually higher than what I paid for it brand new. Gonna be an expensive divorce, no doubt about that!

Sounds like getting your own appraisal may easily pay for itself...

In reality, they are trying to get the overall value of assets as high as possible, for when the division is made.

I overheard a biker telling his buddies that when the topic of the cemetery plots came up in the hearing he said " she can go ahead and use it" :p
