I am not sure that is accurate. I hate hypocrisy and falsehood, and I believe Dave does as well.

I haven't stated an opinion on climate change, because that would be non-productive, and yes, argumentative.

But it looks like I am arguing with you now.... You win. :zip:

Arguing and discussion is 2 different things, you are correct, arguing is non-productive. My point to all of this is that the earth has changed many, many times over and long before man was here! There is science to prove that and if the earth is changing fast or slow, what difference does it make and what the heck are WE going to do about it? If everyone on the planet would quit just using plastics, we could save 100 BILLION tons of burn't fuel a year but everyone who drinks their water from plastic bottles and shaves with disposable razors just to name the first million things we use plastic for, well there is just a start! The Hypocrites who want us to all drive electric cars and use everything electric are the biggest hypocrites going! As stated before, just look around your home and the plastic. Where does all the rubber go from worn tires? and how many BILLIONS of tires are made a year that require Petroleum by the TONS and TONS! People have it easy to tell someone else what they NEED to do, but yet they are doing the same dam thing! And yes, we'll take ole Greta who FLEW around the world telling us all what WE should be doing. What a Joke!

So we have the Maine state air show at the old Brunswick naval air station this weekend. Blue angels are coming. An environmental group is protesting because the US military makes too big of a carbon footprint. Actually saw some granola chick with a bicycle standing on a corner holding up her plastic sign about how bad it is. I got one thing to say and it aint gonna be pretty. If you object to freedom provided to you by our military and whine they are not environmentally sensitive please feel free to get the F out of this country and take a few others with you!

Maybe if there was as much land covered in snow and ice as 50 years ago, there wouldn’t be as many fires?

Just out of curiosity, during the last ice age, did volcanoes not erupt in non-glacier covered areas of the world, changing the make up of the atmosphere... leading to changes in CO2 levels? It’s a cycle, with so many peaks and valleys over the course of the geological history of the earth (and every other planet orbiting a star)... so why do wildfires now (or over the past few decades/centuries) seem so devastating now...?
Are we going to actually try to dim the sun’s effect on “our” planet (laughable) by putting a shade in outer space? Sure, one really rich guy may think it’s a good idea, but that could have an equally catastrophic effect in and of itself.

Not saying any of this to argue, but to present thoughtful discussion.
