Things Kids of Today Wouldn't Recognize

The Zerostat 3 is a gun-shaped device set in moulded hard plastic that produces a combination of positive and then negative ions at the 'target'. The idea is too neutralise the area of static charge, the thing that attracts dust to the area. The intended prime target being your vinyl records

 

this is not old ? they come with every grinder rotti

 

May not be old, but I'll bet most kids of today would not have a clue of what it is or how it's used.......................................... they'd be still trying figure how to turn the grinder on using a "smart phone"

 

I wanted one of those soooo badly. My cousin had one and he never let us use it, we just had cap pistols and he would "slaughter" us in our imaginary wars. Oh and how I remember that commercial Thanks Yoop!

Working in the lab, we have one on hand. Powders like to stick to the plastic centrifuge tubes and to the aluminum scoopers. I use it weekly or at least monthly.

 

yeah your right ,i dont have a cell phone so i still use the switch

 

And oh did the memories come flooding back, I sang the Frito Bandito jingle without missing a beat!

 

My vehicles are old. Do new models still have these?

Yeah, but it's a club I didn't sign up for Dennis. Your still cutting, as am I, we'll get to the point why we may not remember why we are. But we'll still be warm my friend, won't we?

 

Speaking of getting old, on hunting and fishing trips, whethter around the wood stove at deer camp, or outside at fishing trips, listening to my uncles and the guys from the Hound, Rod , and Gun club tell about stories of their life in the woods. Well, I as a young guy was smart enough to just sit back and listen and enjoy the richness of older men tell their stories while trying not to spill a beer on myself as a 17 year old.

 

Wish a lot of these awesome older lads would document their experiences. I can listen to that stuff for hours on end.

 

Remember those back tags that Wisconsin used? Man, they were as large as a license plate!
