Worked all through high school and many years after for a family friend that was a tree wholesaler. Processed and shipped 35000 a year. I could care less about cutting another Christmas tree, don’t even want one in the house.

And along those lines, does anyone else think that it's possible for my wallet to have developed some sort of allergy to Christmas????

You guys must remember bubble lights on the Christmas tree? I just loved those. I still have a few strings of them as they were remade for a couple of years.

I remember years ago once November hit we'd see truckloads after truckloads of trees headed south. No more.

Yes, I loved them. Not sure if the new ones are as good but have to laugh at the prices. Most sell the string at $29.95 but others want $39.95 for the same thing. Help the needy, not the greedy.

I've thought about getting some for several years now but haven't yet.

I don't think it has been brought. How about them knowing what these are for.

We get those every year in the mail. Evidently, some still use 'em.:D
We have at least a couple in a bottom drawer in the kitchen.

I got some , use all the time- being as I am in an area at home that is almost devoid of various signals for one reason or another. Ya, I could buy Satellite service but not at those prices. Even the cell phone moderately spotty at home - works at one end of the house but not the other. Out back ok out front Nada.

I do not have a picture but remember powdered tooth scrubbing compound in a small box - tooth paste as we know it now did not exist back then. wet tooth brush sprinkle some on and brush teeth. Lots of homemade recipes now on the net. I was looking for a pic of an original commercial product.

He’s still shipping roughly the same amount. Most go to Massachusetts Connecticut and New York City. It’s definitely a racket down there. Went just once with a load. Never again, I was out gunned.

I am the only one in the office that apparently still knows how to use one. Everyone uses Canada411. Kind of frustrating as thebooks aren't that accurate any more. People in this community who have had landlines for over 40 years are not listed anymore.

How about the smell of wool mittens, scarves, and hats drying on the steam radiator in grade schools? Anyone here remember that?
