Can't even get the dammed matches to light at all today, much less to actually stay lit if they do light.

I have a picture of my father in caravan in the Army, there was a Blatz beer in the background.

Necco was bought by a private equity fund that pretty much cashed everything out putting a lot of Revere, Ma workers to unemployment or were hired off by other candy manufacturers across the country. All the different candies they made ( the naming and formulation rights) were sold off to varying candy companies. Sweethearts are supposed to be back too for those that associate them with Valentines Day.
Spanglers in Ohio may have ended up with Necco wafers and sweethearts and they should be back.
The private equity fund surely got enough for them that the present owners didn't buy them just to ascertain their obsolescence.

Budweiser still has a National Stock Number and can be ordered through the army supply chain. When I was deployed, we were allowed two on Superbowl Sunday and two on July 4th.

I was looking for the chocolate rolls a few weeks ago and found out they went out of business in the past couple years. On a good note i guess another owner will begin production again -or something like that.

Had these growing up. They are probably in the toy box in my mothers attic. Most children of today would know they are toys but never know the name.

Put these in front of today's children and I bet you get blank stare! I had my father's growing up. They were the "fancy" ones with the metal piece in the center and magnet "picker upper" .

No doubt the younger ones will not even know about fender skirts. Or how about hood ornaments? Bench seats? AM radios.

    or curb feelers
    and vent windows
or even ash trays although maybe those will witness a return due to decriminalization and legalization

My Mom would put this stuff on every cut or scrap I had. As a kid we called it "monkey blood"
