5 truck loads brought up to the house. All stacked under a roof. Two on my partially closed porch. 3 in my basement. Mostly 3 year seasoned Red Elm. I resplit and tested as I loaded. Splits were so heavy I could not believe they were dry. 15 to 22 percent. Very few over 18. Should be a good season! 4 more loads to get. 3 cord total. Believe that will do it. Notice the fine art in my basement
Good for you. I've put some wood in our barn for this winter but have lots more to move in before the snow flies.
That fan has been lurking around my basement for years. Naturally I was directed to keep it At least I convinced the better half that saving 100 vhs tapes wasn't going to bring back the vcr! Ever. Going to the dump never felt so good. Knowing I was making room for indoor wood storage! Edit..... I do have a dehumidifier running.
Ok that’s funny I’ll be starting to move the wood in soon. I drop 4-5 cord in three separate basements. No real problem with bug in any of em. Never burned elm, enjoy.
