Dave. That fajita skillet sounds sweet. My brother just picked up a 16" cast iron pizza round (no sides, just round iron with a handle) that I'm envious of already. As far as your "X" goes........I've never met her but I already don't like her. :headbang:

I just picked this up recently at a local junk/flea shop I go to all the time. The guy there is getting pretty savy on the cost of things and he's got someone looking on e-bay at prices but I got this for $20 bucks. It needs reseasoning, "no big deal" but it's close to 100 years old and some of the best cast you can find:cool:… I haven't done anything with it yet but will soon. I suggest "to all reading" this is… Cast is a way of life and they will not and do not make it like they did "years" ago. Now… Lodge still makes some very good stuff! And made here! Theyre are some pans I have, and can be found that are "no name" cast. As long as they are USA made, they are old castings and are very good quality. I can't remember the web site but if you Google cast iron collectibles, there is a really good web site explaining cast stuff. I don't go out of my way to find cast stuff but it "IS" getting harder and harder to find and if you enjoy it for nostalgic and it's cooking qualities, then you may want to be on a quest to buy up what you find, I do;). The'yre are some quality china stuff, "but few and far between"! I cook on my Fisher all winter long with my griddle. Trundle, if your brother picked up the 16" pizza round, and if it's the one I got in my mind, That's a SWEET score for him:cool:!

I had to take some pics but here is the one I just got off e-bay. Yes, your reading right…. It say's Tabasco co. on it…. I don't know what company in china made they're castings but they are very good. As far as I'm aware of, there were many companies that had sauces, spices, etc… made as "collectables" gift sets with the cast skillets. The china stuff, "WHO EVER" made it was decent., not pourous and good quality. For $10 it's well worth it in my opinion, even it you stick it on the wall as a conversation piece.:) I'm gonna make grilled ham and cheese that say Tabasco on the bread.:p:cool:
