Yea crazy stuff. I've dropped alot of sketchy dead trees but never had one pop off the base like that.

It's for hanging deer during hunting season.

This is a perfect example that you never know what could happen.

Good thing it didn't hit the walk in cooler ; nothing worse than warm beer,

    Glad no one got hurt.

Wow, glad to hear it all came out ok in the end...I have to think there was some extreme pucker factor happening there for about 3 seconds when it looked like the cooler was gonna be DOA...another good reminder that anything than can go wrong when cutting trees, will! :faint:

Yikes. I'm glad nobody got hurt. That's just another example of how anything can happen at any time with our idea of fun. Safety first!!!

Yikes!! Close one. Glad you’re okay! It’s amazing the wind didn’t take it sooner. I ran a call a few years back where a massive cottonwood tree fell on a guy. Killed him dead as a hammer. Mother Nature takes no prisoners.

Boy that's for sure! She is an equal opportunity killer when her mood is bad. Lost my granddad to a widow maker in 1983. Very experienced woodsman & outdoors man. You never know. Glad that Oak tree didn't get anyone or anything.
