I hope when you go back, they have left the logs at length! I always hate when they cut to VARIOUS log lengths or all super short. Like they are doing you a favor by bucking the rounds. Aargh!
That is VERY aggravating. First time the logs were in shorter lengths, second time he had bucked some. This time random length. Not having another score to cut (i have some but need frost kill of weeds) at i opted to cut anyhow. The way i understood he was taking more trees down and they are decent.
My neighbor is having a tree service cut a couple pines down and I think a maple. He was wondering about what lengths to cut it to. I told him to have them leave the trunks as long as possible. I'll cut them to my length and save the neighbor some $
Sweet to get calls to come get wood! That’s next level as I’ve always said. If the wood finds you, . Will let the elm slide this time. Probably don’t want to make a habit of it though.
I should have known that! I sweep the chimneys 2 times a year. I never seem to have much creosote buildup, so I must be doing something right. I do let my pine season for at least a year in the sun before I even think about burning it.
LOL! No worries, it’s a Ridgeline which has a shorter bed. Since I keep my saw up north, I’m looking for easy grab scores, stuff that’s already bucked up. And given my work schedule, it would be stuff I could grab during lunch or quickly after work before the sun fades. Not picky at all. Any hardwood will do. And would definitely keep it local to Cheshire/Meriden/Wallyworld perhaps North Haven. I thankfully don’t have a huge need. These would be just because they are convenient. Ha!
Well i do come across scores like that...precut that are random length and not worth my efforts. I could give you a heads up should i find any. Are you checking CL/FBM?
You bet Brad! I check FB a couple times a day. There was a nice score in Cheshire a few weeks ago, but it was prior to us taking delivery of the truck.
