May need to pass the torch.
It gets complicated with now subtracting wood burned & adding new wood.
I know I have less now than when the thread was started.

Need a math guru to develop a formula for what's been burned & new added.
or a "wood on hand" monthly report , from members ?

That's okay Dave. Much has been burned but if you look over the forum, much has also been put up since this thread started.

Yep. I would say most of us maintain the same amount. I know I do. What ever i burn that winter, I CSS to replace it. Always at 8 - 9 cords.

Oh no. Hate to hear that. My son is contiplating selling and we will have 8 cords to move. :hair: But we will if we have to. Not letting that kind of stash get away.

This got sold with the property, since moving 9 cords, 9 hours wasn't in the cards. I do have a stash of pellets though, until the woodstove gets installed, I'll be a piggy. :D

Did it get figured into the closing costs, like leftover fuel oil would? I plan to stay where I'm at, but I'm just curious how much they figured your stash was worth?

Good luck in your next chapter! Might need that MM tester again!

It was included in the sale of the house. Otherwise it would have been $ 200/cord..... good deal being all oak.

When you move keep a good eye on Maple so she doesn't try to go back to the old house....

I have no idea how much we have anymore. I know I don't need to bring anything new in and have enough at the house for myself and neighbor for close to 2 years. Have enough at my cutting buddy's place for me another 2+ years, sell for 2 years plus 2+ years for his use. About 3/4 that is out there needs cut, split stacked/piled. IMG_20160622_155013.jpg
This is some maple that I just picked up. Still another load of the main trunk to get someday. Plus now we have the EAB here so going to be a lot of ash over the next few years.
So much wood, so little time to work on it.

She is sneaky, but little Saucy almost succeeded on day 2 at our temperary residence. He dug right under the fence and was found sitting in the driveway. Ummm........ you may be able to meet saucy and maple, just head toward your neighbor state to the left.
