Beaches.... Grand Cayman (seven mile beach), Aruba, St John (because the taxi took us to a private beach. not big, but perfect!) I especially liked St. Martin / Martinique.........great beaches - at least I think they were...its the clothing optional part that caught my attention:drool::drool::drool::drool::drool:

snorkeling on Grand Cayman (by boat), Aruba (if you know where to go), Grenada (by water taxi, awesome!), Bonaire - take the boat to the island (I forget the name) that protects the harbor - the outside of the reef harbor side is incredible!!!

sounds like LW knows a few spots as well!

They all sound good, Art. The only overlap I see is St John and St Martin. Actually stayed in Mt Vernon on Orient beach in St Martin, and the beach was ok.....the walrus colony was at the other end. St John was ok.....I like Waterlemon Beach near the Anneburg ruins, but somewhat seaweedy. Now, Anegada was good because no one was there! White sand beach, for miles. Another good island that comes to mind is Providenciales on Turks and Caicos. As for snorkeling, last year I went to Roatan, off the coast of Honduras.......amazing snorkeling, but very hot. This year I am off to Bequia.

We will always have a wood stove and the Eco-65 (pleased with it!) but I'd love to have natural gas as primary, here it would be propane. Either way I miss having the convenience of a thermostat to turn up or down. I've thought seriously about a heat pump but it appears the electricity will cost alot more to use than the pellet stove. Depending on how much heat and how fast you need it delivered (blower), look into the the Fahrenheit that 343amc mentioned, my Eco65 is similar and actually less $ than the P68. They are bottom feeders like Harman. LOL Lousyweather I kind of sound like I am talking about fish with bottom feeders.

My St. Croix has been bullet proof with the exception of replacing an ignitor a few years ago and, this year, the room fan. It's now 17 years old and keeps on keeping on... bought it 11 years ago for $900.00.

I like the St. Croix's self cleaning burn pot design... when I'm gone for days my bride never has to clean the burn pot just give the ash dump a pull or two each day. Depending on the pellets used a quick cleaning can last two to three weeks during which you never have to open the door. The LBT takes care of the rest.

The Englander in my shop has been great, too but doesn't have the HP the other stove has... still it's solid and reliable. No problems at all except for one pellet jam caused by an errant sheet metal screw screwing things up a few years ago.

I could never justify spending thousands on a stove...

Run it on 1 or 2, an occasional 3 when getting room warmed up) out of 5 setting.
Get about a bag a day. Runs nites during the week, all day friday nite to monday am.
    Had since ~96 or 97.
Replaced bricks 3 times, 1 auger motor, 1 firepot, and 1 controller (after 12 yrs on controller).
Its in the family room which is hard to heat with the forced air system (nat gas, high eff trane).
