Picked up this set of Craftsman pass through sockets, the case was dirty but the tools look virtually unused.

I found a set in a pawn shop several weeks ago, it was missing the 3/8" ratchet (~$18) and a couple of other bits and they wanted $40. I can buy a new set locally for $55.

Here's my newest tool hoarding obsession - old hand planes. I figure if I want to use any of the wide live edge slabs that I've been making, the best way to flatten them will be to learn to work them old school.

I got a few for Christmas and bought a few more on ebay. Course they need to be real sharp so I got the best tool for that too.

    - Birmingham #7 jointer pre 1900
    - Stanley Bedrock # 605 jack owned by my grandfather
    - Stanley #110 block NIB
    - Stanley #9-1/2 block x2
    - Stanley #65 low angle block

Yeah I went with a tempered glass plate system from peachtree.

Yeah this site is kind of the opposite of a hoarding support group. :p

Wow these really work great unclefess - I can see why you used to like them. ;) I was mistaken the other day when I said I didn't have a jointer yet - I've got an old no 7. :)

I've got a new project cooking, and I wasn't sure how I was going to be able to joint some of the pieces flat. Took me all of two minutes to figure that out.

Yesterday's haul, everything you see for $10. There are 58 Craftsman sockets in the group along with 42 no name ones. Also a couple of Bernz O Matic torch tips, a Weller soldering iron and 2 Nicholson files. There was a Mac screwdriver in the box when I first opened it up but apparently the guy rummaging the tool boxes took it when I went to ask the price.

I have a large box of Craftsman sockets, time to put some sets together.

I have a large box (40+) of mostly vintage 3/4" drive breakers, extensions and sockets if anyone is looking.
