Free's bass player died today. He wrote All Right Now and prolly others too. Sad. I wonder if these guys knew, back then, they had one of the best lead vocalists in rock... Paul Rogers. He still sounds as good as he ever did. Here's an old one...
Wow, what an unearthing of this post. Got it on vinyl, too. Recently sold my Technique direct drive, gave my vinyl collection to my former manager's son, still got Lightfoot, tho. Nothin to play it on. Ya see, growin up on Long Island Sound, with a father as a lobsterman, one gets to worryin about storms whipping up fast(Wreck of the...) Heh... can't believe this... what are the odds? I listened to lots of rock stuff a couple nights ago and had a ball... then realized it was 11 PM already. So... I thought I'd find a tune I hadn't heard in a while before hittin the sack... you got it ... the Edmund Fitz... what a great song and story telling.
