I just came in from cleaning snow including the roof (5 hours and I am tired) only to have a notification that the show was rescheduled to July The band must not have been able to get in because the snow has been done since 10AM and the sun has been out since noon. I took a 40 dollar loss just to be sure that the tickets sold figuring Id rather lose 40 than 160.00 if we just did not go. Oh well best laid plans, right? If they confirm that The Pretty Reckless are still opening, I may try and get tickets again as there were alot of seats available. Tough call as we have seen Nickelback already and I could pass altogether. The last time we saw them Chad Kroeger talked way to much. Shut and play some damm songs, I am not here for story night about your drinking and party bragging. Its funny and entertaining for a bit, but he went on and on after every damm song.
damm.... in my 20's and hitting the Boston club scene on a regular basis for great local music the main band never went on before 11:30 or midnight and usually played till last call at 2am. Luckily I worked for the Boston Globe at the time and had to be work at 3:30 or 5am depending in the day so I just stayed up and went to work. That would kill me now but I miss those days as there was som good original music as well as seeing some of the greats at small clubs because the bands were on the skids until they got their chit together and are now touring again One of the best shows I have ever seen was a night at a club called The Channel. Dickey Betts Band played a set, Gregg Allman Band played a set and then both bands played together for 2 hours of Allmam Brothers music. It was an over the freaking top night that I wont forget!
G you are the man .I love the Allman Brothers I can only imagine how awesome that was in a small setting very cool my friend
The Fools were a local band that you always knew that a fun night was in order. The lead singer was a clown and would always open the show with some kind of schtick like coming out as a clergyman and marrying the audience or the invention of the "body condom" They had satirical songs Unedited Live version... Non satirical I was most likely at this one They still play now and then
I never really listened to her , but a very powerful song ,I get it thanks D I'm taking my Friday a little harder and edgy ,with a message .
I caught it on the radio yesterday , Keith is pretty good all by himself , that raw stripped down sound.
