D brew here's a guy that's prolly not on your radar he's not really a fiddle player , jazz fusion is his mainstay had the privilege of seeing him live at the Berklee Performing Arts Center in Boston back in the day the 2nd video is a cover of his song that's pretty good, and it has a banjo player I thought you would enjoy
Saw Jean-Luc Ponty when he was out on tour with RTF a year or so ago. Also saw him in the mid. 80's. He is good. I like his playing on the couple of Zappa albums that he is on too.
Ok, I need to switch it up. It's Friday night! Time for my crazy in the closet music. I always thought this would make a great reggae song.
speaking of banjos.....I like bluegrass. Especially Jerry Douglas playing the dobro. The guy makes playing that instrument look like childs play.......turn your speakers up and enjoy...... Here he is with Alison Krauss and Union Station, one of my favorite 'modern' bluegrass ("newgrass") tunes ever...... And here he is with the Mumford Brothers and Paul Simon doing a remake of Simon and Garfunkels "The Boxer". Love this version of that song big time!!
Yeah. Same here. I know that is why Beres Hammond is my favorite reggae singer. I can't decide which Sam Cooke song to post. There are so many great ones.
Mazzy Star. They just put out a new album and are about to go on tour. Unfortunately I can't get to a show. This was off the second album Mazzy Star album.
