Got tickets for Steely Dan this August at Meadowbrook. First time seeing them

 

What is the date on that? I am going to see if I can get tickets? Donald Fagen is a genius! (for some reason the system won't let me spell "Fagen".)

Just bought the tickets. See you there.

 

Aug 30-Labor Day weekend, I think they are also at the Harbor Lights Pavillion (or whatever its called this year) in Boston. Really looking forward to this one !!

Did you get parking tickets? Thats a new charge as of last year- nice place but they are commercializing (is that a real word?) more every year.

 

I did, in the Kubota lot for $20.

Still pretty cheap tickets for a Steely Dan show. They put on a fabulous show, they have so much music in their repertoire. (hows that for a fancy word? LOL!)

 

You will like Meadowbrook. Its a scaled down Great Woods. They have done a great job adding on to it over the years.

I am stoked at seeing Steely Dan for the first time. Also makes me think of a friend I worked with that lost his battle with cancer 2 years ago. This was his favorite band. Really sucks to lose a friend so young, he was early fifties and the cancer was directly caused by smoking. He quit a 2 pack habit the day he got the news, but couldnt win that battle. Ive had many vices in my life, but very thankful that cigarettes were never one of them

 

I've been there a couple times. I've seen America there and Allison Krause and the Moody Blues there.

Bummer about your friend. My mother died of complications due to her smoking. I quit in April 1994, 2.5 packs a day. One of the best things I ever did for myself.
