    Just mention the word "bacon" and i get a craving for it! :drool: Had some slices on the soup and sandwich supper last night. It was hickory smoke too.
    Do you know whats better than bacon?...more bacon!

    We just finished off the last of our home made garlic pepper bacon from the Feb 2020 pig weekend
    and now I have to wait until March for the next scheduled pig weekend.:drool:

    Hickory, oak, red cedar, apple, maple, locust if it's a bit green all come to mind. Probably because that's what I have burned since I was young.

    Kids can tell hickory, oak, and red cedar for sure. I've had them ask if I was burning each one at different times. We've only been burning wood for 2 full winters but they have picked up the differences.
