Nice to dream. That is a sweet rig. Saw a similar one at the dump one time. Guy unloading logs with it.

Not that I plan to get one  but I think I would be okay towing it with the 3/4-ton Ram. I wouldn't be loading it up heavy or towing very far. The only downside to renting is that one never knows when a scrounge may come up, and having it available whenever needed would be the bonus. I would have to come up with a game plan to make side money with it before I would ever think about getting one.

Just think how much easier on your body it would be to just load the roadside scrounges on the trailer and take them back home to be bucked up!

Wonder how he justified the cost (other than just wanting one).

Very true. Problem is my PA at main storage is barely big enough for a generic let alone bucking larger logs. I try to limit chain saw use there and when I do its to buck smalls or noodle down chunks.

Im hoping to utilize my "Unlimited Supply" source more once I catch up (if I ever do) with my current inventory. CS there and load into PU. With the extra work involved I'm shying away from roadside scores, BUT subject to change at a moments notice.

Was that the infamous lady in red thread? Before my tenure on FHC started.

EODMSgt I looked it up and edited original post. One you posted easily towed by ram 2500

one I was referring to is a towable think 8 cord logtruck. Lift capacity and load capacity close to 10x your pic which are 1200# lift and 12000# load

    I would be:mad: if I paid $22,000 and couldn’t lift logs I wanted

The smaller ATV trailer they have is around $22K whereas the larger street-legal one (like the one in the pic I posted) is over $27K. The weight limits would be okay for me doing roadside scrounges but again, no way I could justify the cost...

As I recall, with that dozer he accidentally backed over a chainsaw. Then, did it again.
