Yea gotta give it at least a year if u sell split wood year to year. Good low cost approach, ain't gotta store it for more than a year.
Could you imagine how well one could do if they had the room to get their business on the 3 year plan? I see so many people selling oak for $3-400 a cord for wood that was still a tree 3-6 months ago. Sell at the high end of the market, and then let word of mouth and advertising on CL & Facebook do its thing. I see so many old farms with vacant fields. Get all the local tree cos to drop whatever for a price that is beneficial to both, buy the rest in large bulk and watch the money roll in.
True. Also, can you imagine how those stubborn burners would re-act? You know....the ones who cut this year and burn this year? "I've been doing it this way since I was ___ years old and there is no advantage to paying even higher prices....blah, blah, blah!" There just isn't changing some people!
