I know her has more than 50 but thought it was no where that big!!

Many videos are just audio recordings of a radio show he does.

Presses, I don't load for pistol only rifle. Most of my rifles are those no commercial ammo is available for. 256 Newton, 6mm/06, 6.5/284 .30 Newton and the like. Most of the rounds I shoot require that the cases be base formed in a forming die. I use Lee & RCBS but do not use a 'C' style press because the 'C' is not strong enough for the forming operation. The full circle type is much stronger.

KilliansRedLeo- Wow, you don't run across many people shooting Newtons anymore, hats off to you.
That 6.5/ .284 is a nice one, is brass still pretty tough to find? (basic .284)

I have several rifles chambered for 256 Newton, it is a fine cartridge, basically a 6.5mm/06. I have several hundred pieces of 284 Win brass so have not had to look for any in quite a while. what is hard to find is 30 Newton brass.

FINALLY!!! After 3 months, I got my hands on some magnum pistol powder! Natchez had 8lb jugs of IMR 4227 so I pulled the trigger. Shipping and hazmat fees were ridiculous, but I was tired of using up all my unique in my 44mag marlin 1894 and Ruger SRH.

Anyone have any experience with this powder? I will be shooting 240gr XTP's from the marlin, and Barnes 225gr XPB's in the SRH. I'm particularly interested if magnum primers are absolutely necessary since I have read conflicting reports.

So, If anyone is looking, Its still in stock as of now. They had 1lb jugs too, but the shipping makes it over $55/lb.

Should of bought some cheap primers to help out with that hazmat fee...dilute the cost a bit more.

I bought 1K at $36 but I can get them cheaper locally normally. $30 @ gun show.
The ones I needed (magnum) were out of stock.

I'm just happy to have a mag powder to play with now! Shipping costs are offset by the gain of my time back from looking EVERY STINKING DAY for months for some H110, alliant 2400, or this. I'm sure work will appreciate it too. Nothing like browsing/buying components on company time. ;)

I have an old can of some h110 I was given. Need to load some up with it.

Picked up a Lymans tumbler on my last trip to NH.
Also grabbed some media and 500 rds of Fiocchi .380

Ran 100 rds. through my Taurus the other night and
ran into a bunch of jams. Not sure if it was the ammo
    or the gun itself.

Posted this in another thread and got suggestions of a feed
    problem. Anyone else?

There are several generations of the taurus tcp 380. The first gens had a different feed angle on the barrel bottom that had horrid feed issues. The latter ones solved this. also magazines are not interchangeable but the only way to know is from serial numbers. Thats why its best to big mags from taurus ...they sell bases on serial number.

Help me understand how a light load would cause a feeding jam.

Sounds lile you need to run the serial on that one as Clem said.

Also, please don't take this wrong, but limp wristing the gun will also cause feed issues. How confident are you in your grip? Again. ..just a possibility having never seen you shoot.

I can't say I have changed the way I shoot much. I have put at least 1k rounds through this gun. This is the first time with this ammo and then I get 10 jams in 100 rds. Fired.

    Explain what limp writing is

I have used IMR 4227 for a variety of 44 mag loads with bullets ranging from 200-300g. I have also used it with both #300 and 350 primers, using a tiny powder change up or down depending on the primer. Seems to ignite fine with the 300's. I don't chrony any of my loads for velocity, just work them up for MY GUNS judging accuracy vs beginning signs of overpressure. Peak accuracy is usually below full magnum pressures in my experience. Occasionally though, you will find that particular load that just keeps getting better as you juice it up. That's when you have to know when to stop! ;)

This one needs a refresh. Lots of new members that may have reloading input.

Since last posted I have added .223 to my reloading calibers. Just got my press set up last night! Previously i just did pistol calibers. Guess what i learned already?..........Case prep sucks!

Unique? :bug: I have not seen a pound of that since I started reloading a couple years ago!

I hope you bought a lotto ticket!
In all seriousness, the pistol powder situation is getting better but you still have to work to find it or pony up for the hazmat fees.
