That sucks. I guess another reason every reason from up north (we have a term for yall:whistle:) is moving down south and clogging the place up!!! Seriously, you ever around bring a few thousand rounds and a trunk full of guns I will take you shooting. I have 2 USFS ranges within 30 mins of my house. But I live in the middle of the National forest boundaries as defined by Congress (basically those big Green areas on a map that they can buy land in for them).

I also have a 220 Swift in a Ruger 77 tang safety medium weight barrel. Hand load for it useing IMR 4064 (for now) 55gr Sierra 55gr HPBT game kings, book speed is 3800 FPS. It has made Parka fur from coyotes out to 280 & 244 (lazared) yards a couple of times.

I really like the rifle and have had it for about 21 years now.

Before I got it I used a 243 in a Remington 700 BDL rifle. I hand load for it also, use IMR 4350, Sierra 85gr. HPBT game king bullets for every thing deer to coyotes. Book speed is some where around 2700 FPS if I remember right.

I still take it when the wind is above 15MPH when we are after coyotes.

Also the "44" stamped on the case indicates what year the cases were made.

Update on my shooting place. Found a new one. Good friend. I cut firewood there, fish, and now get to shoot. I set up a steel target range. I can get 100 yards out of it if I need to.

Good deal right there chief! What more could a guy ask for a place to shoot, fish and run the chainsaws! That's a pretty sweet one stop shop for a fun filled packed man outing. :dex:
