Any Remington fans here? This Model 600 in 350 Rem Mag followed me home the other day. Build code says 1967.

    It is my second 350 I also own a 673 and a 308 in a 600.

Sure. He has two complete 8 gun sets. If you are a 600 fan boy you must know that the 223’s sell for astronomical amounts as only 300 were chambered in 223 and he has two

Well aware of the .223 being a unicorn. And this guy has 2? Holy cow, what a treasure.
I'm looking for a hunter grade .350, .243, and another .308. I have a .308 I'm working on right now, when I have time. .243 is my top initial choice for the time being.
I've had the 6.5 Rem. Mag, would take your shoulder off if you're not ready. 6mm ammo is tough to find these days, hence .243 as my choice.

I just got done mounting a 2.5 power Weaver scope on it. I got the original sling also. This gun appears to be unfired. The bolt/sear/trigger/bore/chamber had a tar like factory grease that had hardened. A little kerosene and a lot of gun blaster got it in working order,,

I hear ya on that brother, 350 is getting scarce but it is out there. I won’t need any in my lifetime I hope. I have hoarded over 220 rounds of 200, 225, and 250 grainers

Too rich for my blood, but these would be "collector pieces" . And, the .223 chambering would bring 5K by itself. $13.5K isn't unreasonable, believe it or not.

I have a "few" and have dealt with old military rifles for many years, Cosmoline is what you speak of "I'm thinking" and mineral spirits will do the trick fairly quick. You do not want it on the wood though, It may remove any clear coatings. Best to dissasemble the rifle and clean the metal that way. I just purchased a old 1966 Vietnam era rifle at a gun show in Philadelphia, it was clean outside but all the springs and action were gummed up and hard with that.
Just wanted to pass that incase you wern't aware. :):handshake:

Beautiful firearms, I like the scoped combo. Always thought those little rifles were very unique with the vent ribs and bent bolt handles/knobs.

The first xp's were based on the 600 action.

I am no 600 expert believe me. My 600 guy claims he is. He claims the 600 was built on the XP action.
The Remington engineers were getting bit on their hands by a straight bolt when they test fired the first XP handguns.
Hence the dog leg bolt to get the bolt just a bit farther away on recoil

    but what do I know

Yeah, I think the 40xp started in '63. The dog-leg handle helped prevent the handle from whacking you as you sent one down range. The center pistol grip helped with balance, not so much with recoil. Wiki has the XP from 1963-98, the XPR from 91'-97'.
The 600 started it's run in 1964. Variations ran until 1979. 673 had a short run, '03-'04 listed, but may have been longer.
I'm writing this to subdue my jealous streak, I really like the little 600's. :salute:

So do I. I think I will sell the 673 and just keep the two 600's. I wonder why Remington did not put the dog leg on the 673? Here's mine on the bottom

Very nice! As far as your question on the bolt, look at the trigger position. The 600's had a forward trigger in the trigger housing, unlike a rear position in the 721/722/700. I'd bet your 673 is the same. Just a matter of ergonomics with the different action dimensions.
edit- Is the mannlicher a .44 mag?
