Please don't think I'm being argumentative, I've been burning "and splitting" gum for 30+ years, here's why I say that, This is NJ Gum... I don't split it any more, just burn the rounds. You can see the difference!
Guys, it aint working this way. - Only the last match winner will post pictures for the quiz, if the person aint up for it, we proceed to the next right guess. - Only 1 guess/post per on goin match. - No Offtopic BS If you feel like talkin what it might be or not... not onhere please. We can talk on there about Rocket Science, Woodgrain or how much more saws we will buy - im happy to get to know everyone. I do appreciated everybody participating in this but please stick to the rules. The Leaderboards need to be updated from time to time and to have a decent overview on the ongoing match its vital to keep the thread tidy. In the end of the day, i want this to be fun but also to take it serious as i will buy some goodies from my hard earned money for the top 3 folks for a year blood, sweat and tears. Lets do this!
If there is only one guess, I recommend that the person posting only post one set of pictures on Sunday... adding additional photos later (in this case! A day later) changes perspective and information... if additional photos are added, only the first person to guess correctly should get points. Can we get a ruling on the additional photos and the interval at which they will be provided? I know this is not my thread, so if appropriate, please tell me to shut up and color..
I reckon a better definition is needed, i was slackin there. Sorry troops. Improved Rules will be posted on Friday - so next sunday Quizmeister has enuff time to adapt. Thats what its meant to be since the beginning. Last round was a bit off the radar. Rules: - The Match will start on sunday and end on wednesday night. -Every Sunday the winner of the last match will be Quizmeister for the next match and has to post 2 pictures of a log of his choice. One photo has to show the bark - the other one the grain, cut or splitside or both (preferable). Full picture mode when you upload. - Incase no one got it right by wednesdays, the current Quizmeister will continue with 2 Options: 1st option he can post addittional 2 pictures to the ones from last match to solve the mystery. 2nd option is he riddles the last one and starts the round with a new type. -Everybody participating can post one guess. A persons second guess will not count. -Theres only one winner per round. - A specific guess will beat a general one - a wrong specific one will be beaten by a general one. Example 1: Posted is Sugar maple, Mr.A says Sugar Maple while Mr.T says Maple. (Specific-General) Example 2: Mr.T says Maple and Mr.X says Norway Maple (Picture posted is Sugar Maple, General wins over Specific). - The winner will get 1 point for the match. Leaderboards will be updated by Kraut himself. By the 17th of December, 2018. The top 3 will be announced and will recieve some xtras for Xmas. - Only the Quizmeister will post pictures. Incase one of the international crowd is Quizmeister, Members need to have in mind that tree families are the same but there is for example american beech and european beech and so on. So a little research might be neccessary on the Quizmeisters Country. - No offtopic talk. Incase of any question PM me and youll get an invite to the Stammtisch-Conversation.
