Tulip, red oak, cherry, sassafras, silver maple, a host of others. Going by numbers those were the most.
Made it home safe. Two hour drive two hour nap two Ibuprofen now I feel more sore and tired than I did all weekend. But can't wait till spring for the next GTG Ill be able to make. It was good working with everyone. And better time visiting with everyone
I used a whole tank of mix cutting up and noodling a Sugar Maple crown that was at least 32"+ diameter and 12' long. Tons of big knots in that piece and should have some serious BTU's to release. I saw a few other chunks of Sugar also. I made it home safe (not very far to go) and true to form, I left one of my pick-a-roons laying in the wood pile. Just another excuse to meet Walt and Robin at Fast Eddie's...
When I stopped to grab my shirt off the ground on the way out last night I saw a bunch of tools laying there by where you had some of your stuff earlier on.
Just pulled in.. Great time as always…. All road well, only had one strap that needed tightening after Indiana roads. But cargo was secured. Thanks for all that let me borrow straps and walt for the wheel chocks….
Had a great time this weekend. Picked up some awesome loot. There’s a lot that go into these gtgs thanks walt for having us! Thanks SBK1980, this knife is awesome.
walt & Robin, Chad & Curtis- you guys are fantastic, outstanding hosts and great people! Your hospitality is always above board! Thank you all so much for having us stay and participate. And all the members that showed up (even that ornery eatonpcat) and chipped in are awesome as well! A real showing of that FHC readiness to kick azz!!! And have a blast doing it! Left a little after 9, had a stop at Ohio University to visit our niece and have brunch… back on the road around 12. Made a few stops, not a whole lot of stoopid on the roads, but enough to raise the BP’s a few times. Sheesh, people suck at driving! Got home @ 5:50 and unpacked- now time for a cold snack.
I just had a new leaf spring hanger welded on the rear of the rear axle on the R&R Tour Bus a couple weeks ago. The welds weren't enough! It is torn off...again. Was wondering why it felt like I was driving through a hurricane. 5 hours of white knuckle driving. Made it home though. All that matters. I'm beat.
Have to thank TurboDiesel and Miss July for sneaking a big bag of hot peppers (and my sweat shirt) into my truck...the fresh peppers have been cleaned and fried...Delicious my great friends!
Kinda yes, but missing the basket section that ours had. This was a standard long handle 4 prong rake.
