Thank you, this was my early days before I had a yard. another 40 of those crates like in the picture behind the ready rack. My buddy calls it the Megatron
Not the same as a face cord. there are 3 18 inch log face cords in a bush cord, not 4 12 inch log face cords. If someone is selling a face cord of 12 inch and its in rack 4 ft high and 8 ft. long, tell them they have to add in an extra quaarter of a second rack This is just a guess, but do they call a face cord as such because it is one fface taken off of a bush cord? Would love to know
Since we drink so much Tim Hortons coffee in Canada, I'm trying to make the used cups an unofficial fire starter. There are a few franchises in the US and our Canadian company is now owned by Burger King
If you're selling firewood, here's how to use some of your inventory to double your money and make up for all that hard work (and paying for equipment repair and maintenance! @%^&*)
Most cords here are 3 rows each being 16” deep 4’ high and 8’ long. Or 128 sq feet. A face cord, a Rick or a run is one of those rows or 42 sq feet
Split firewood faster! I come across tires lately but I was lucky to get this 30 inch low profile tire
I climbed! I put the cutoffs and odds and ends to burn in my stove. Each section is 4 ft x 8 ft from shelf tp support beam so each 9 sections have a full bush cord. The shelfing unit is 4 ft wide of course. I dont use it for firewood anymore because I have a yard for my business, I store 55 gallon drums on it now. It holds 72, none on top obviously and they are held in from the wind by old electrical cords tied across the middle
The cord is 4x4x8. 128 cubic feet. 3 sticks of 16” = 48” or 4 ft. 4 stick of 12” as mentioned is equal. One of them rows 16” x 4’ tall x 8’ wide would be a face cord. Also called rick. Your bush cord is larger with 18” sticks 144 cubic ft vs the 128 cubic feet. About 12.5 % larger than a normal cord which I’ve seen also called a bush cord. If selling for same prices, you’re giving your customers a good deal! One row/stack 4 ft x 8 ft that is 18” long sticks is also a face cord(Rick) One row of 12 or 16 or 24 or whatever long that is stacked 4ft tall by 8 ft long is a face cord or rick. The length of the sticks doesn’t matter in a face cord. Just that 4x8 ft “face”. EDIT and I see these answers were already posted by others faster than me. I should have finished reading the thread before posting. Well I’m not deleting it, that’s a lot of two fingers typing there for me and I’m not wasting it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
