Yes, you can go there and pick up wood by the cord. I posted a thread about this company last year on another site. Someone local went and picked up several cords and was very pleased with their product. The sale price then, December 2012, was $145 per cord picked up. After January 1, 2013 the price returned to their regular price, $165 per cord. I haven't called for a price this year. 80 miles one way is a bit of a trip.

Maine doesn't allow imported firewood. I wonder if this applies to commercial operations?

Helped Dad split the wood I cut for him last week (translation: the old lady and I did everything but pull the lever). Everything tested between 20&26 on the MM, stuff we split last month was reading 18. Told him to burn the older stuff first. Now that we got the splitter back I am hoping to get that honey locust split finally.

Yes they sell by the cord. Last years price was $145/Cord. Most of it coming in around 12% , however there were some larger pieces of oak that were up in the 18% range. We have nicknamed it "match-lite." I had them deliver and the guy says "Why do you need this wood, you have plenty." (I had around 4 cords just c/s/s that winter.) (They also do mulch, and soils over the summer.)

The beginning of my 2015-16 pile. The locust is what we split today, a little bit of fresh mulberry on top too. We did a horrible job stacking and then just threw the ugliest on top. Not much for straight pieces that would cross stack well. The 4 biggest pieces of honey locust are still in the trailer buried under with ash.

del2.JPG Delivered 2 cord of Hedge to a neighbor with a big Taylor OWB... He's got an interesting setup. He can stock pile 9 cords in a maze right around his boiler.. Even installed a light out there so he don't get attacked by a skunk again...
He likes all the stuff 24-30" long, to where you can barely handle it...

Going to have a busy weekend at work, we are still understaffed. Will probably just get my fire starters made and wait for next week to split that ash. I hate when work dictates your home life.

I wasn't serious, but if you think about it, given the price of kiln dried out here, at their prices, if I paid for delivery, it would still be waaay cheaper.
