Gorgeous! I hoarded a little this morning. I’ll get some pics next time I’m out there as I didn’t get the entire tree.
That tongue is what I’d worry about! That’s cool how the end can come out for those long slabs! Bet you get a lot of looks with a load like that
I never know what type of wood I might find and the trailer is adaptable for that, the tongue should be fine I reinforced it with a full length 2" x 2" 3/16th wall thickness tubing.
Well, I had a total up this morning and I guess I have nearly 8 cord CSS which is three years supply for me. Spent some time cutting this last week, that's a 44 inch bar on the 084, 36 inch on the Treemonkey 066 and a 28 inch on the XS500i. Very large and extremely heavy/hard Eucluptus that has been down for 13 years: Heres my Stash: 2.5 Cord split and stacked this week, more to go yet: 3 cord stacked here which has been drying for a year: And another 2 cord stacked here at home ready for next winter. This wood has been cut, split and stacked for 2 years, just transferred it to undercover here at home this past week:
The 500i is a keeper sorry Brad, Kevin's huskihl sausages have a particular flavour which I enjoy. Funnily enough, the 500i has been available off the shelf here in NZ since November 2019!
Nice work on all that wood. Oh yes, I totally agree about the XS saws. Kevin has done 2 for us. I still have a ms461 to send him in the future. buZZsaw BRAD needs to send him that ms261...it really will be ...run, forest, run...
Congratulations! Good looking wood for having been down for that long Mist be pretty Roy resistant. Sounds like you have the perfect tools for breaking down that big stuff. Nice work
Thanks for the kind words guys. I'd far prefer to be working on saws and cutting wood in my spare time than anything else!
